Dr. Stephen Foulke completed his veterinary education at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 1990 after his undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland. He began his professional career in Taneytown, Maryland, where he specialized as a large animal clinician. In 1994, he became a partner at Agricultural Veterinary Associates, contributing significantly to the expansion of the practice, which ultimately grew to encompass a team of ten veterinarians dedicated to large animal care.

In 2001, Dr. Foulke achieved board certification from the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, a testament to his expertise and commitment to the field. He took on a leadership role as President of the ABVP during the years 2011-2012. After dedicating 26 years to private practice, he transitioned to a position with Merial in 2016 as a professional services veterinarian. Following the merger of Merial with Boehringer-Ingelheim, he continued his focus on cattle health, calf health, immunology, and reproduction, further enhancing his contributions to veterinary medicine.

In 2023, Dr. Foulke became a member of the Heritage team, and the following year, he earned his MBA from West Texas A&M University. He remains actively involved with several professional organizations, including the ABVP Exam Committee, the ABVP Foundation, the International Cattle Veterinary Association (ICVA), and the Dairy Cattle Reproduction Council (DCRC). Outside of his professional endeavors, Dr. Foulke enjoys a fulfilling family life with his wife, Dr. Cynthia Foulke, a fellow veterinary school graduate, and their three daughters and six grandchildren. His personal interests include outdoor activities such as biking, hiking, kayaking, and cowboy mounted shooting, along with a passion for reading.
