Funds are paid via ACH directly to the student in regular installments.

Forgivable Promissory Note
The award is issued as a Promissory Note with complete repayment forgiveness when the required employment terms are fulfilled.

To be eligible for the HVP Tuition Assistance Program, students must:

• Be nominated by an active HVP Partner or HVP veterinarian.
• Have relevant knowledge and experience at the HVP practice they are nominated by.
• Have committed to employment at the nominating HVP practice after graduation.

Eligible students receive tuition assistance through a Promissory Note. Appropriate provisions regarding interest rates and fees apply if the required employment conditions are not satisfied.

When the employment terms are completed, all applicable interest and fees are waived/forgiven.

Students should speak directly with their personal tax preparer regarding any questions or issues related to personal income taxes.
